WELLA PROFESSIONALS TRENDVISION 2016
Last weekend, WELLA PROFESSIONALS held their annual TRENDVISION AWARDS in Las Vegas and I was honored enough to be chosen as one of the esteemed judges!
Kiyah Wright & Brenton Lee
The TRENDVISION AWARDS competition offers a platform for up and coming stylist to showcase their artistry and creativity through hair designs that were creative, inspired and simply MINDBLOWING! It was such an honor to be part of this event and see how these up and coming stylists are making their mark in the industry.
Every year WELLA PROFESSIONALS sets a theme for TRENDVISION that is influenced by the year’s upcoming color and beauty trends for the season.
This year the SPRING/SUMMER theme was MOLTEN ECAILLE. This Spring/Summer trend is influenced by rich palettes of Bronze, Rose Gold, Copper, Tortoise Shell and Platinum for a mix of luxury and couture.
The Fall/Winter trend was BRONDE LUXE. This trend is all about warm neutral subtle tones: Tawny Brunette, Amber, Dusty Blue and Soft Grey. These colors are calming neutrals that are easy on the eye and add a touch of class to any look !
TREND VISION 2016 ARTISTRY
As an artist it is not often that you get to be creative to this level. You don’t get to work with artists that allow you to be creative. The creativity was WAY over the top and so inspiring. I was so inspired to see these young up and coming artists who put their best work on a platform to get judged. These artists put everything on the line for someone to decide whether or not it was the best or not the best.
All of the artists pieces were judged from a technical and creative point of view and it was just a great and inspiring experience and I’m so happy that I was able to be apart of something like this.
It’s not often that you are able to be apart of great moments that inspire you.Even some of the best open themselves up and bring themselves back to the creative space. I was extremely humbled by Michael M. Hasse (@mmhasse) courage to come back and enter a competition and allow himself to be “judged.” Ultimately, I think that it’s freeing to open yourself up and allow your creativity to shine OUTLOUD..😉 He didn’t win but he is far beyond in his creativity and imagination then what we might have seen that day. “I’m beyond inspired”-Kiyah Wright
